On 8/24 he had a “To Do” to submit official SAT scores (he already had). The next day, those SAT scores must have reached Pitt because his application was marked complete on 8/25. At first we think Pitt is affordable by looking at past tuition rate. However, look at new tuition rate, it seems a bit pricy comparing to other OOS schools that S24 got admitted. The reason we fell in love with Pitt after visit is the medical resources and school size. It will be useful for future applicants .Pitt doesn't even offer much to stellar in-state students anymore. (post-Covid) Pitt still attracts plenty of full-pay international, full-pay OOS, and full-pay in-state students. Schools like William & Mary and UVA offer zero merit (and they tell you up front) to OOS students as well. This is exactly why my in-state S19 chose Pitt.

Pitt offered my daughter $8000 a year a couple of years ago, Rutgers offered $0 (she was offered merit at the 18 OOS schools she applied to). Congrats to all of the acceptances already!
