I find the ergos of the VP9 better for me. I find the pistols to be similarly accurate. The HK has more muzzle flip (higher bore axis) but it is less snappy and punishing to the hand (you can dissipate energy only so many ways). There is less difference between the P99 and VP9 than the P99 and the P30 even though the P30 was HK's answer to the success of the P99. Of course, the PPQ ate everyone's lunch and then VP9 came out.
