The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LaDOTD) advises motorists that I-49 North between the I-220 interchange in Shreveport and Mira Myrtis Road in northern Caddo Parish has been reopened effective immediately. This affects both directions of travel. U.S. 71 will have alternating lane closures 24 hours per day, every day, beginning Nov. 14, 2022. The closures will take place on a 0.22-mile stretch of road between Forest Oak Road and Woodridge Road. The closures, which are for bridge preservation polymer overlay, will be in effect until further notice.
