It's happened to me a few times where the game audio stops completely, but I've been able to restore it by alt-tabbing out and going into windows sound settings while the game is running, changing the output device to something else (like headphones), then setting it back. The audio always come back for me that way. Razer Surround just manages your sound devices, kinda virtualizes them so even though you're doing stuff like muting/changing devices, FFXIV continues to see 'Razer Audio Device' and doesn't have a problem.
