The fuel strainer on the Rubicon & 350 Rancher is on the fuel pipe inside the fuel tank .. To clean/check it you have to remove the 2 bolts holding the petcock on the bottom of the fuel tank .. The fuel strainer on a TRX500 Foreman is inside the (brass) fuel hose pipe on the carb. Remove that, unhook the cable from the throttle linkage and unscrew the cable from the carb. The choke you just unscrew the plastic nut from the carb and it all pulls out. The carb heater will unplug at the wiring harness. Just follow the wires back to the connector. What all has to be taken off to get the carburetor off on a 2001 foreman 450.
2013 efi foreman 500 bogging down while driving. I have a 2013 foreman 500 stock that is used for trail riding and taking corn to deer stands. no deep mud or water. Nothing done except for oil change and has always been reliable. Last week my dad was taking corn out and it stalled on him.Cranked back up and bogged down but got it back to the house.starts fine, runs 10 min, backfires, dies. Boiled the carb in lemon juice yesterday which worked as advertised. Really amazing. After that and a spray down with carb cleaner and compressed air, new carb kit and an inline fuel filter installed, my 97 started like a champ. Test run afterwards showed the symptoms persist.
